The Mayan calendar has come to its “end” as of October 28, 2011 when all the nine levels of evolution, and of the human being, for the first time in cosmic history was expressed to an equal degree. The fundamental consequence of this is that all authority as well as the divine presence now goes totally inside, as the template of the human being on the cosmic level has become complete.
However, as paradoxical as it may sound, the waves that the Mayan calendar describes are, with some modifications, continuing to transform our world, which is especially true for the high frequency Ninth wave. This is likely to make the Gregorian year 2012 one of the most dramatic years of all time as this wave continues to transform human relationships in the direction of unity consciousness. The ninth wave essentially results in two distinct phenomena: On the one hand the erosion of all social systems based on dominance and on the other a deepened experience of spiritual unity. To those unaware of this things may just look like chaos, where it will be more and more difficult to know what to hold onto. What to most people who hold the intention of unity consciousness may seem clear is that the job is now only beginning. Much larger both individual and collective efforts will be required for us to gain a secure sense that the world will make it though. The outcome of the process towards unity consciousness is however not scripted and depends largely on the kind of practical steps people take in the time ahead for creating a new foundation for our civilization.
Moreover, while Bolon Yokte Kuh, the nine-step “god” that on the inscription in Tortuguero appears at the end of the Mayan calendar, may already have appeared on the cosmic level a perfect harmony between the nine levels of evolution has hardly manifested as a reality in most of us. After this significant shift of the ages that we have been through, there is still a lot for us to absorb. In order to strengthen our work to create a civilization based on unity consciousness all of the nine waves, and especially the ninth wave, will need to be fully integrated in our being. Such an integration is what is meant by the ancient Mayan prediction that Bolon Yokte Kuh will “appear in his full regalia”. Ultimately this appearance in full regalia is about us and not about some external deity, which might have been the only way for an ancient people to express it.
An excellent opportunity for such an integration is the Venus Transit of 2012, taking place on June 6 in many countries and June 5 in others. The transit lasts for about six hours and many of its technical details is available on the Internet at the web site http://www.transitofvenus.org/. In short, a Venus Transit is a passage of the planet Venus across the sun, and to witness this gives a unique feeling of being present to the cosmos. As the British astronomer Edmund Halley said: A Venus Transit is the most beautiful experience that astronomy can bestow us with.
Venus Transits are rare phenomena that come in pairs. Transits occurred 1761/69 and 1874/82 and the transit in 2012 is paired with the one that already took place on June 8, 2004. This was celebrated in the worldwide Oneness Celebration on this date and might still be seen as the opening for a time when globally speaking a large number of people started the process of transformation to Oneness and unity consciousness. This process has intensified since and still continues so that in general, the world is nowhere near what it was like in 2004. The second in this pair of Venus Transits, taking place on June 6 2012, may then be used for even more emphatically strengthen this intention of unit consciousness in the era of continued rapid transformation by the Ninth wave in 2012.
A Venus Transit is like an invitation from the cosmos and I feel at this time the cosmos is calling us to be much more practical in our approach than in 2004. The calling is for us to transcend dominance, and maybe especially male dominance, everywhere and be supportive of the many movements that today are engaged in this. A detailed plan for how we are to respond to this invitation from the cosmos will have to be developed in the time ahead, but it should already be clear that the cosmos at the Venus Transit of June 6, 2012 provides us with a mirror. The natural response to this seems like a meditation event, a meditation for gathering spiritual strength and integrating in our being the nine levels of consciousness that are now fully available to us. But I also encourage all initiatives that may serve to enhance an actual experience of collective unity, such as synchronized breathing and synchronized drumming across the world, in the midst of a year that otherwise promises to be almost overwhelming and seemingly chaotic. In the midst of this the Venus Transit will serve as a beacon and I certainly encourage people to make plans for gatherings at this web site at an early point.
